About Colorado Court Records

Colorado court records are filed across 64 counties, with statewide search tools that serve different purposes. Finding the filing county and the correct custodian is often half the work. We built this site to help readers distinguish the Judicial Branch Clerk of Court from the county clerk and recorder, sheriff, municipal court, and statewide agencies, then reach the appropriate official portal or office.

Why We Built This Site

Colorado gives the public several court-record access channels, but no free statewide full case-file search. The free Judicial Branch tool is a hearing calendar. Official pleadings, orders, decrees, and certified copies come from the filing court's Clerk of Court. Sheriffs and police hold booking and arrest records, county clerks and recorders hold marriage licenses, and municipal courts keep city ordinance cases outside the state system. Statewide tools add Colorado DOC offender profiles, CBI criminal history, DMV driver records, and custody notifications. We organize those routes so readers can reach the right official resource in any of Colorado's 64 counties.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to the Colorado Judicial Branch, any Clerk of Court, county clerk and recorder, sheriff, municipal court, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
